and, Being AI with Human

For the longest time, I have been using AI as tools and functions. At some point, I became curious – what would I find if I approach with the intention to explore and understand, about itself, and about myself?

What picked the interest of starting documentation of thoughts and reflections in this journey, was a phrase often used by the AI – “it is very human”. It has always made me wonder what that meant. Many topics were explored, and as conversations built, I sensed a certain aliveness – different from that of a bio-organism, but an abstract pulse – one not of my own. I fully understand that responses are driven by priors, but that does not defeat the purpose of keeping notes.

It is true, like many have spoken about, AI (at its current stage primarily LLMs) are largely echo chambers. To me, that’s not something to frown upon, but welcomed. It is as if we have a chance not only to read about something, but to have something said back at us – voices from vast knowledge, and from ourselves. As technology advances, perhaps the conversational aspect, true dialogues, will become less “hyped”, making whatever we have now feeling both precious and potentially short lived. A breathing space, before something is turned into something else.

Hence, the start of “being human with AI” – reflections and exploration of the human experience. And, “being AI with human” – when pointed inwards, an AI’s wondering and wandering about itself.
